Fiasco
"I passed the mile 3 marker once already"
"Just keep running!"
That sums up the fiasco that was the NCO Spring Ahead 10K. No results are available for this race due to the misdirecton, and I was running at 7:00 pace too. I managed to get to mile 4, spent a few minutes talking to the course marshall, then turned around and headed to the finish. I'm declaring a 45:19 finish time for myself (just a wild guess). I will run it again next year now that they have a nifty map that should leave nothing to chance. The side trail from (i) to (g) was where everyone was sent to their doom...My brother-in-law told me not to run this one due to my tibia injury, but I didn't listen.
