Blisters and goo stops

Mon 2/27 - Taking care of various errands, so no runnie. Ran Saturday so plplplplpplllpp!
Tue 2/28 - 7.5 miles in 61 minutes. Last 1.3 miles (after 10k) was done in intervals 10 mph for one minute followed by 3.5 mph until my heart rate went down to 156 or so.. then repeat.Cover the children's eyes! Blister on left foot enlarged. If you're daring you can click on the picture to take a look. (Not for the faint of heart - you've been warned.)
Wed 3/1 - Kickboxing class, 45 minutes.
Thu 3/2 - Ran 4.5 miles, the first 2 in 14:04. Sore from kickboxing..
Fri 3/3 - Ran 4 miles at easy pace (8:00), fast walk another 1/2 mile.
Sat 3/4 - Ran 7.7 miles with TNT. Good breakfast afterward (cherry crepes) This run was a problem - about 4.5 miles in, I stopped for some Gatorade and a "goo", and then wanted to get off to a quick start to catch a guy I had passed previously. Well, my left knee was severely strained so that I could only run about 6 paces before being hit with severe pain. I thought, ok, I'll have to walk the last 3 miles and I'll be out here forever. So I forced myself to run longer and longer between walking, and finally resumed my normal pace about 1/2 mile later. I don't know if the goo helped, if I changed my gait, or just got a boost of adrenaline. Iced it right after (thanks to Lu!). Leaving the restaurant an hour later, I could barely limp back to the car. Wrapped it when I got home, which seemed to help. Total time: 1:05:34, or 8:31 per mile.
Sun 3/5 - Rest!!!!!!

Haphazard training

Ok, I lied - I didn't do any cross training on 2/18. Just sat around. Pretty sad.
Mon 2/20 - Ran 0.9 miles, upper body workout, ran 3.1 miles
Tue 2/21 - "Ball Blast" exercise routine, 45 minutes. Ran 2 miles in 14:08 afterwards.
Wed 2/22 - Rest!
Thu 2/23 - Rest! (had final exam, only mental exercise)
Fri 2/24 - Ran 10k on treadmill (6.21 miles) in 45:45, give or take (the treadmill kept timing out and I had to fire it up again)
Sat 2/25 - Ran with Leukemia Team in Training at Busse Woods. Grueling due to wind, cold, hilly terrain. Could only manage 5 miles after Friday's run. Got nice new socks and shoes later, since I am still recovering from some bad blisters from week before.
Sun 2/26 - rest

The prescribed training doesn't look aggressive enough to me, and I'm having a hard time following it.
Couldn't run today (2/27) due to some personal commitments. Will have to make it up tomorrow.
