16 - Am I supposed to taper now?

Three weeks until the race I'm not running..

Mon 1/29 - 4.6 miles
Tue 1/30 - 4.21 miles
Wed 1/30 - rest
Thu 2/1 - rest
Fri 2/2 - 3.8 miles
Sat 2/3 - rest
Sun 2/4 - Superbowl! (no running, duh)

15 - Running and more running

This week:

Mon 1/22 - rest
Tue 1/23 - 6.5 miles
Wed 1/24 - rest
Thu 1/25 - 10 miles in 88 minutes (slow!)
Fri 1/26 - 5 miles in 37+ minutes
Sat 1/27 - Exercised by lifting many glasses of wine...
Sun 1/28 - Planned ski trip fell through. No cross training or running.

14 - Pure drudgery

Mon 1/15 - rest
Tue 1/16 - 3.5 miles
Wed 1/17 - 4.25 miles
Thu 1/18 - 4.5 miles
Fri 1/19 - 3.5 miles
Sat 1/20 - rest
Sun 1/21 - No long run. Bears Win!

13 - What marathon?

No earthshattering records ar achievements this week. Still fighting a cold. Still no long runs. Supposed to do 18 miles this coming weekend. Not sure if I should even attempt.

Mon 1/8 - rest
Tues 1/9 - rest (sick at home)
Wed 1/10 - Ran 5 miles in 36:45.
Thu 1/11 - Ran 6.21 miles in 45:55. Very sweaty.
Fri 1/12 - Ran 4 miles in 29:36. Half hour after beef sandwich. Not a good idea! I have a mystery pain halfway up my left tibia, but I'm sure it's nothing.
Sat 1/13 - I will not have time to run.
Sun 1/14 - Bear game, cold weather..we'll see what happens. End result: Did not run! Bears win!
